Apple Delaying Early iPhone 3G S Shipments?

Several MacRumors forum users as well as one of our own forum users have reported shipping delays from UPS on their iPhone 3G S orders. The message reads "The receiver requested a hold for a future delivery date. UPS will attempt delivery on date requested" and implies that Apple intentionally delayed the orders so they wouldn't show up before the 19th, the iPhone 3G S' US launch date.
