If it’s so simple to send photos via email, why pay extra to send them via MMS? While that is a valid argument to a certain extent, the two services remain predominantly different; e-mail is unlikely to be picked up by a regular phone user ‘on the go’ and isn’t tailored in the same manner for quickly sending and receiving photo snapshots. iPhone Hacks — Developers, Ross McKillop and Ed Lea seem to have addressed the lack of MMS feature with an iPhone app that allows users to send MMS features (with a catch); one of the features surprisingly still missing from the iPhone. Here are some of the features of their iPhone app: The iPhone app works by prompting for an iPhone user’s O2 mobile number and the PIN that O2 sends when a subscriber receives an MMS message. The app then retrieves the MMS messages from O2 (which is probably the reason the app is restricted to users in UK).
