A federal judge on Friday gave Mac cloner Psystar the greenlight on continuing its countersuit against Apple.
The ruling allows Psystar to amend its counterclaim to allege Apple is
stretching copyright laws by prohibiting the Mac operating system from
being installed on non-Apple PCs.
U.S. District Court Judge William Alsup had previously rejected
Psystar's antitrust lawsuit against Apple, which alleged the corporation
was practicing monopoly. Alsup's Friday ruling enables Psystar to file
an amended counterclaim citing copyright laws instead.
