ok, so it was fine before, i figure i was one of the lucky ones, no dropped calls, no unusual 3G/EDGE behavior, picked up the signals fine wherever they're available (i live in NYC). Updated last night and NOW i'm getting "call failed" and dropped calls. This SUCKS. [image] Yesterday's release of iPhone 2.0.2 has been mostly welcomed by the ever-critical iPhone-using contingent, but as usual, the firmware is not without its problems. We were able to confirm that the update addresses a few 3G-related issues (but not some of the major 3G problems people are having quite yet), and overall, users are reporting apparent improvements to signal level and the ability to make calls. It's that last part the ability to make calls that is tanking for some other users, however, thanks to the iPhone 2.0.2 update. the handset's latest firmware update would wave a magic wand and make
3G problems disappear forever. Instead, for some, 3G connectivity has
disappeared altogether, according to an Ars Technica report.
Ars's Jacqui Cheng reports that the iPhone 2.0.2 update
completely disabled Ars editor in chief Ken Fisher's iPhone 3G from
making calls over the 3G network. A few other iPhone users have
