With the introduction of Quick Look in Mac OS 10.5
(sorry, I just like saying it),
it suddenly made more sense to just throw all of one's files into a big metaphorical heap on the metaphorical floor. Who needs sub-folders that go seven layers deep when selecting a file in Finder and pressing spacebar yields a super-sized preview of it (with a fullscreen option to boot)?
