Motorola has been talking up an Android phone of late to anyone who will listen and is touting it as a social smartphone for the 16 to 30-something crowd. They are claiming it will be tightly integrated with big social networks like Facebook and MySpace, among others. They also state it will have an "iPhone-like touch screen" but are not tossing any photos around of the phone.

The word is those who have actually seen the Motorola Android spec sheet are saying it is a higher end version of the T-Mobile G1 but with a lower price tag. Fighting talk perhaps? Maybe, not we’ll have to wait and see as Motorola won’t have this Android out until Q2 09, so that means no getting our hands on it until Q3 09 earliest.
