... (OWC) introduces Mercury Pro 12x Blu-ray burner, which is based on Pioneer BDR-205 writer. Based on Oxford 934DSB chipset, the Mercury Pro 12x offers four interfaces, including two FireWire 800 ports, a FireWire 400, an eSATA and a USB 2.0.
The burner writes single layer and double layer BD-R at up to 12x and BD-RE at 2x. It burns also DVD+/-R at up to 16X, DVD-RAM at 5x and CD-R/RW at 40x. It gets 8MB of buffer memory. The Mercury Pro 12x is priced at $349.99.
