Gigabyte's been listening to all of the iPhone syncing issues from motherboard owners using Intel's P55 chipset. They've put out a beta BIOS that addresses the problem. Unfortunately, that doesn't help all the Asus and MSI users who are having the same troubles, but hopefully now that Gigabyte has set an example the others will follow. That annoying issue where iPhone sync would fail for Windows 7 users with Intel P55 Express chipsets? Gigabyte has issued a beta BIOS update for their motherboards that should fix things right up.
Asus and MSI, which also use the P55 express on their motherboards, haven’t issued any updates yet, but hopefully will soon.
If you’re rocking the Gigabyte and do the update, let us know how it works for you.

... P55 is Intel's latest midrange chipset and orchestrates things for newer Core i5 / i7 machines. The other two P55 purveyors, ASUS and MSI, were also caught by the bug, and there are anecdotal reports of success with an ASUS BIOS update, but not official fixes as of yet. Given the competitive nature of this market, though, we'd be surprised if those two companies didn't quickly follow suit. All's well that ends well, right?

... and Microsoft said that they were looking into this issue, the main problem seemed to be affecting Windows 7 64-bit users with Intel P55 chipsets which would prevent users syncing their iPhone’s with the PC’s.
The new update is being called Beta BIOS and will help those who have the Gigabyte motherboard in their systems; if you have the Asus motherboard apparently this update will not help you. Click here for the Gigabyte Beta BIOS download page
