Before the iPhone OS 3.0 software update, you were required to send text messages, and visit websites before being able to connect to any of AT&T’s 20,000+ Country-wide free wireless hotspots. Now that iPhone software update 3.0 has been released to the public, sporting auto-wifi-connectivity, this previously-too-long of a process has been shortened down to simply walking into an AT&T hotspot and being connected instantly.
